Cyprus has one of the lowest crime rates in the whole of Europe and is generally considered as an incredibly safe place to be, however to minimise the risk of being in danger, we recommend that you be cautious with any valuables at all times and remember to lock all doors behind you.

Health Care in Cyprus

Health care is offered free of charge to all tourists who have been involved in an emergancy. If you are a citizen from a country within the European Union you must provide your European Health Insurance Card (or E111 Form) in order to obtain additional health care. There are no infectious diseases in Cyprus that require a vaccination.
There are many pharmacies in Cyprus which stock all well known brands of medicine.

Driving in Cyprus
If you’re planning on seeing many of the regions in Cyprus it is almost essential to bring or hire a car. The driving laws in Cyprus are similar to the UK, all drivers must be 18 years or over, own a valid driving licence and driving is on the left hand side of the road.

If you are hiring a vehicle you must have possessed a driving licence for at least three years or be over the age of 25.

It is an offence to drive whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and all passengers must where a seatbelt at all times when travelling in a vehicle.
